God is my Protector

Adoration

Hallelujah to the Lord of lords and King of kings, Lord God you reign. I thank you heavenly Father for your love and guidance. The Psalmist says because your love is better than life I will praise you. I stand in awe of the majestic display of your mercies and truths. May you live forevermore in me.

Devotion

Psalm 91: 1-16

I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.”

Psalm 91:2 (NIV)

An early rise before the rest of your household is an opportunity to set the tone for your day. The melody created in your heart in the mornings will increase the opportunity to hear the voice of God in your ear throughout the day. In your alone time with Him express gratitude for whatever is placed on your heart….. peace, a safe place to lay your head and the mercies of God that envelops you…..

As we closed out the last year and decade, my eyes caught the headlines of celebrities who died in the previous year. Actors, authors, athletes, politicians and other important figures.  Morbid, I know, but reading the list  was like reading the obituaries, it reminds me that death does not discriminate by religion, class, gender, race, color, age …....

Prayer

Heavenly Father, you surround me with goodness. I thank you that I am covered with feathers and under your wings I will find refuge. The enemy cannot take what he never gave to me and I will not hand it over to him. You are my shield and sovereign God. Be my right guard and my left guard, protect me in this realm of death and destruction. Allow me to see the angels that you have set charge over me to guard me in all my ways, in the midst of the battle Lord, when my enemies are all around.

As I advance into this decade, prepare the tabernacle of my heart that you might dwell there Oh God, my Lord and Redeemer. I pray that you might use me in a mighty way. May my enemies tremble with fear at the sight of the person who is dressed in  the full armor of God. In the Name of Jesus the Christ. Amen.
